On Saturday, April 11th, Arriondas once again became the epicentre of Stand Up Paddle in Spain. The SPS Sella River – International SUP Race 2026 took place under its timeless banner: sport, nature and community on the banks of the River Sella — and it delivered on every front.
Paddlers from across Spain and several European countries competed in one of the most iconic descents on the continental SUP calendar. Technical sections, fast-moving water and a spectacular natural setting in northern Spain put the best riders to the test, creating images and emotions that stay with you season after season.

Much more than a race
The Sella is something that’s hard to put into words until you experience it yourself. It’s not just a competition — it’s a gathering point where riders, clubs, brands and fans share their passion for paddle surf in one of the most beautiful settings in Spain. Year after year, it cements its place as a must-attend event on the European SUP calendar.
