On the San Lorenzo beach in Gijón, the Spanish SUP Wave Championship was held between October 12 and 16 within the All in SUP event. The championship, organized by Astursup, brought together the elite of national and international SUP, with more than 160 registered from 9 different countries.
Saturday the 15th was the appointed day for the tests that would crown the new champions of Spain. In a day where the waves went from less to more, Guillermo Carracedo would impose his surfing ahead of Oihan Aizpuru, Juan de los Reyes and Alfonso Muñiz.
In the female category, Iballa Ruano was the best of the surfers fighting for the national title. They would complete the podium; Alazne Aurrekoetxea and Beatriz Piñal, in second and third position respectively. Alba Alonso was fourth.
Special mention also for the Junior category where Joan García was proclaimed the new champion of Spain. Enrique Pérez Serra and Iván Puente would complete the podium.
